How to create Surveys with Mailchimp

How to create a survey with Mailchimp
Set up the survey
1. To create a survey with Mailchimp, Click Audience
2. Click Surveys
3. Click Create Survey
4. Click + to open up the question builder
Add content to the survey
Before adding questions, you can add images, video, or text that gives info or add instructions for your survey
2. Write a question. You can choose which type of responses you want from your audience.
- Radio Buttons: Respondents can choose only a single answer from a list of options
- Checkboxes: The audience can choose multiple answers from a list of options
- Range: Participants can give you a score out of a value
- Open text: Your audience can provide an open-answer response
- Email: If the respondents are not already subscribed, you can ask for their email address
- Contact Information: You can ask for user-specific data like name, address, and age
- Content block: You can add text, video, or image without a question

5. You can click on the question field to configure settings.
Enable Auto-tagging
To enable Auto-tagging, click the toggle and click Manage tagging
Note: the survey must be shared through the Mailchimp email campaign automation or the contacts must be added through the survey for tags to apply
2. Click Add Condition
3. Click on the dropdown arrow to select a condition
4. Select an answer or a value
5. Select or create a tag that should be applied if a participant meets the condition
6. Select Save
7. Once you are done adding questions and setting up auto-tagging, you can click Continue To Design to add style to the survey.
Configure settings
1. In the branding, you can add your logo.
If you have paid plan, you can remove the Mailchimp badge in the branding as well.
2. In Custom messaging, you can add a title, description and customize messages.
3. In the Style, you can change the colors.
4. Review and set up notification settings
5. Click Continue
The next step is to choose how you want to promote the survey.

In-app sharing options
You can create an email campaign that is designed to gather feedback.
or
You can choose to add a link to the survey in one of your email campaigns or automations.
Share with URL
If you want to share a link to the survey outside of Mailchimp, select Share a URL.
You will be provided with a link that can be shared through social media, website, chat, or non-MailChimp emails.
Share the survey on social media
To share the survey on Facebook or Twitter, you can choose Share On Facebook or Share on Twitter. These options will draft a post with a link to the survey.
