How to import your contacts to Getresponse


Do you want to import your contacts to Getresponse? We know that it importing your contacts to a new ESP can be a scary thought.

Export and download your list as a file


1. To import your list to Getresponse, you must first download your contact list from your previous email service provider as a CSV file.

1. From the top menu bar, select Contacts

2. Click Add contacts

3. If you have multiple lists, choose the one you want to import the contacts into.

4. Select Upload a file as the import method

5. click Select a file from your computer

6. Upload the downloaded file

7. Check the consent box and click Next

Match columns to fields


Now, you must match the columns to the correct fields.

  1. For example, The first name columns should be matched to the first name field.

2. If the field does not match the columns, choose the correct attribute from the menu.

3. If you don’t want to import certain data, select Skip and don’t import.

4. If you can not find any field that matches a column you want to import, select Create Custom field and create a custom field.

5. Check the Skip column marked with ‘?’ and click Import.
